Today, Mr. Schoenfelder's class visited the Blue Earth Wastewater Treatment Facility. Jamison Holland, with his 20+ years of wastewater treatment experience, guided them for the tour. He explained how biology, chemistry and physics all come together to clean the wastewater to EPA standards. Jamison also explained opportunities for jobs - both as summer interns and as a career.

Mr. Schoenfelder's chemistry class has been studying water: its properties, obtaining adequate water supplies and our reliance on it.
During a visit to the Blue Earth Water Treatment Facility this week, Jason Murphy and Nick Bleess Sr. did a wonderful job of explaining how water is pumped from the Jordan aquifer, 600 feet underground and safely sent to our homes and businesses.
