Survey 9.7

Dear Members of the Blue Earth Area School District, 

The District is working on a plan to update our facilities to better serve our students and the community. This past spring, we reviewed the condition of each of our schools; assessing building infrastructure, major building systems (electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling [HVAC]), safety features, and educational space needs. A Community Facility Task Force, made up of parents, community members, and District staff, was then created to review these findings and identify options on how best to address these needs. 

The cost to complete these projects is greater than the District’s annual operating budget can support. Thus, the School Board is considering asking voters to support a bond referendum to address these needs. However, before a plan is finalized, the District is committed to ensuring that all citizens have a voice in the planning process. Therefore, we are asking you to please take a few minutes to complete this important survey!
