You’ll learn simple watercolor techniques while working on adorable 2x3 or 3x3 inch designs—perfect for framing or gifting! Clip frames are included (styles may vary based on availability), and no experience is necessary. Just come ready to paint, play, and enjoy creating art in miniature form! Register by February 10. In this class, each student will paint three preselected designs, exploring colors and techniques while creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind bookmarks. In just a few hours, you can learn enough secrets of the trade to give you years of musical enjoyment. Learn to play piano the way professionals do—using chords. Since this class is being held online with ZOOM, you will be able to sit at your piano or keyboard at home and take this course with no pressure at all. And since this course includes an online book and follow-up video lessons, you will be able to continue your practice and study on your own. An optional weekly periodic online questions and answer session is also included. A recording of the class is included as well. The course is partly lecture/demonstration and partly hands-on instruction.

In just a few hours you can learn enough about playing the guitar to give you years of musical enjoyment, and you won’t have to take private lessons to do it. This crash course will teach you some basic chords and get you playing along with your favorite songs right away. 🌱Sprout Scouts: Indoor Gardening Adventures🌱
(Grades 4-6)
Faribault County 4-H invites youth to dig into the exciting world of indoor gardening for youth in grades 4-6! This hands-on program combines fun activities with real plant science, giving participants the chance to explore seeds, soil, and creative ways to grow plants indoors.
Through these 4-H-style activities and experiments, youth will gain confidence, spark curiosity, and see the results of their efforts grow right before their eyes. By the end of the program, participants will have multiple mini-gardens and a deeper understanding of how plants grow from seed to sprout while having lots of fun along the way! Register by January 15. Instructor: Emily Ovrebo, Faribault County 4-H Educator. Fee: $20.

Minnesota Highway Safety Center Senior Driver Improvement Classes
Participants age 55 and older will qualify for a 10% discount on their auto insurance premium for three years by completing the initial four-hour course, according to Minnesota state law. The 10% discount can be maintained by completing a four-hour refresher course every 3 years. A MN Highway Safety Research Center certified instructor will teach this class. By utilizing the most up-to-date research in the field, participants will be provided the latest information in regards to crash data trends, defensive driving tips, changes in laws and vehicle technology, and the latest in traffic safety.
