How many gym courts will the district have if a new school is built?
Blue Earth Area Schools currently has 7 gym courts. Referendum question 1 would provide a total of 8 courts districtwide (5 new courts). If both questions pass, the district would have a total of 9 courts.

Over 46% of the bond referendum’s total principal & interest will be covered by the State of Minnesota’s Ag2School Tax Credit. Two more facts about Ag2School Tax Credits include:
• This tax credit reduces property tax impact for agricultural property owners on existing and future school building bonds.
• Non-agricultural landowners will not see an increase in their taxes as a result of this tax credit as the credit is paid entirely by the State of Minnesota.

The site identified for the new school aligns with State guidelines for needed acreage for an elementary school. In addition, having both schools on one campus will improve operating efficiency by allowing shared use of space, more efficient use of staff, and improved transportation resources. This will save the District money and better serve students and the community.

Our Blue Earth Area FFA officers spent June 29–July 1 in Fairmont preparing for an incredible year ahead! 🌽🏴‍☠️

The annual Officer Retreat was all about building a stronger team and becoming stronger leaders. Officers participated in team-building activities, learned valuable leadership skills, planned for National FFA Convention, created the chapter calendar and Program of Activities, designed this year's chapter shirt, and set goals for the year ahead.

The team also chose this year's theme: Driven to Serve—a reminder of their commitment to leading with purpose and making a positive impact on our school and community.

We're excited to see all they'll accomplish this year!

A full analysis of the PreK-7 building’s structure and system needs was completed in early 2025. The study identified
$55.15 million in needed updates to the school in the next ten years, with $42.08 million that were noted as critical needs. Some of these critical needs include the restrooms throughout the building that have failing fixtures and do not meet accessibility requirements.
