Congrats to our BUC PRIDE winners for Quarter 3 of the 2025-2026 School Year! Each quarter, Buc PRIDE award winners are chosen through a collaboration of high school staff and National Honor Society members. In the spring, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders are invited to apply for NHS membership based on their GPA. Membership is awarded based upon academics, service, character, and leadership. #beabucpride

On April 22, BEA & USC students will take part in a Mock Crash Simulation at the high school parking lot in partnership with UHD EMS. This powerful demonstration is designed to help students better understand the very real dangers of distracted and impaired driving, especially ahead of Prom season.
Please be aware that there will be an increased presence of emergency personnel at the school during the event. Fire trucks, ambulances and a helicopter will be on site. This is a planned educational activity, and the event is not open to the public.

Walk, Bike & Roll to School Day invites participants to celebrate the joys of active commuting while building a sense of community, safety, and school spirit.
Walking, biking, or rolling to school is about more than just getting from point A to point B—it builds healthy habits, promotes independence, reduces traffic, and strengthens our community. Most importantly, it’s fun! Encouraging active trips to school helps kids stay active, supports safer streets, and creates a cleaner environment for everyone. Let’s celebrate the many benefits of walking, biking, and rolling together on May 6!
Community volunteers will be on the playground at the K-7 building to cheer on participating students, and to reward them with a small prize for participation.

Hands-on learning in action! 🌉
Bridge in a Bag gives students the opportunity to design and build their very own truss bridge using lightweight materials. Mrs. Hernandez’s STEM class had the opportunity to partner with the Minnesota Department of Transportation, bringing real-world connections into the classroom!
As they construct their models, students aren't just building bridges—they’re building skills in engineering, teamwork, and problem-solving. They also explore how real bridges support weight and why design matters, all while thinking like future engineers.
It’s a fun, interactive way to bring STEM concepts to life and show just how important bridges are in our everyday communities!

Our Child Development students are diving deep into the world of sensory play! Last week, they’ve been researching and testing out various sensory activities designed to help toddlers explore textures, develop fine motor skills, and spark curiosity.
Why Sensory Play Matters:
Brain Development: Builds nerve connections in the brain’s pathways.
Language Skills: Encourages kids to describe new sensations and textures.
Fine Motor Growth: Perfects the "pincer grasp" and hand-eye coordination.
